It is an honour to have been elected President of such a remarkable group of professional women. These members dedicate time and financial resources to promote basic rights and provide opportunities to women and families in the community and around the globe.
I promise to do my best to maintain the standards of the Zonta Club of Nanaimo and to continue to support our projects and programs that are dear to our hearts.   We will focus on research, awareness and social responsibility.
 
Fundraising will remain a priority for our members.   Our club holds a  commitment to both  health and education related community and international goals.  Our group has demonstrated cohesiveness in working together, "women helping women" , particularly with our modest club membership.   We represent but 1 of 1200 clubs worldwide, located in 67 countries.
 
As President, I look forward to working with our newly elected executive and directors, all of whom bring knowledgte and diverse experiences from their professions, community involvement and volunteerism to the club.
